Pulsed Arc Welding

SAE Technical Paper Series, 1983
Pulsed arc welding is one of the new processes finding many applications throughout a whole range of industries. The process, which is like metal inert gas welding (MIG), produces a quality akin to tungsten inert gas welding (TIG) with consumable electrodes. The pulsed process is three to four times faster than the TIG process.

Stud Arc Welding

1993
Abstract Stud arc welding (SW), also known as arc stud welding, is a commonly used method for joining a metal stud, or fastener, to a metal workpiece. This article serves as a basic information source for those interested in accomplishing one-sided, no-hole attachment of metal fasteners.

Automatic arc welding

Electrical Engineering, 1931
By the use of arc welding, marked savings have been effected in the manufacture of electrical apparatus. Automatic control for this process has made possible still greater savings and at the same time better and more uniform products.

Submerged Arc Welding

1993
Abstract Submerged arc welding (SAW) is an arc welding process in which the arc is concealed by a blanket of granular and fusible flux. This article provides a schematic illustration of a typical setup for automatic SAW and discusses the advantages and limitations and the process applications of SAW.
