The Influence of Gender, Age, and Body Mass Index on Arch Height and Arch Stiffness.

Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery, 2020
Arch structure and arch function play an important role in maintaining balance, bearing body weight, and absorbing ground reaction forces. However, arch structure and arch function are known to vary extensively and may be affected by factors such as ...

Accuracy of complete- and partial-arch impressions of actual intraoral scanning systems in vitro.

International Journal of Computerized Dentistry, 2019
OBJECTIVE Intraoral scanners (IOSs) are widely used for obtaining digital dental models directly from the patient. Additionally, improvements in IOSs are made from generation to generation.

The Arch Sky Belly Arch and Arch Culvert Crack Disease Analysis of Arch Bridge

Advanced Materials Research, 2011
Arch type on an empty stomach type arch bridge and push culvert in the disease that can arise different level under temperature role. The reason that article produces for disease is analysed , push , Dao act on without the foot arch of circular arc in permanent year and temperature power calculation formula, have pointed out the theoretical source that

An axillary arch

Clinical Anatomy, 1996
An axillary (axillopectoral) muscle (arch) was observed extending between the upper border of the latissimus dorsi and the lower border of the pectoralis major muscles in a 48-year-old male cadaver during our dissections. In the same cadaver, the pectoralis major muscle has entirely inserted into the most distal part of the tendon of deltoideus.

Estimating Time Varying Risk Premia in the Term Structure: The Arch-M Model

, 1987
The expectati on of the excess holding yield on a long bond is postulated to depend upon its conditional variance. Engle's ARCH model is extended to allow the conditional variance to be a determinant of the mean and is called ARCH-M. Estimation and infer

Congenital Variants and Anomalies of the Aortic Arch.

Radiographics, 2017
Congenital variants and anomalies of the aortic arch are important to recognize as they may be associated with vascular rings, congenital heart disease, and chromosomal abnormalities, and can have important implications for prognosis and management.

The Arch in Soil Arching

Journal of Geotechnical Engineering, 1985
Soil arching action or “bin effect” is usually quantified by use of a horizontal differential element whose support derives in part from Rankine theory. In the 1940's, Krynine mathematically proved this incorrect. The present analysis substitutes a catenary arch describing the path of the minor principal stress, which thus is complementary to a ...

Arch in Soil Arching

Journal of Geotechnical Engineering, 1989
It is shown theoretically that the arch describing the minor principal stress in the soil behind a retaining wall can be approximated by a catenary which is very close to circular in the range of interest.

Increased rotational flow in the proximal aortic arch is associated with its dilation in bicuspid aortic valve disease.

European Heart Journal-Cardiovascular Imaging, 2019
AIMS Aortic dilation in bicuspid aortic valve (BAV) might extend to the proximal arch. Arch flow dynamics and their relationship with this segment dilation are still unexplored.

Buckling and Vibration of Arches and Tied Arches [PDF]

open access: possibleJournal of Structural Engineering, 1986
A simple method of computing the planar elastic buckling loads, natural frequencies, and corresponding mode shapes for arches and tied arches has been developed. The proposed method is applicable to arches and tied arches of general shape. Stiffnesses of arch rib and tie (if present) may vary in any manner along the span.
