Effects of lingual arch used as space maintainer on mandibular arch dimension: a systematic review.
American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, 2010The aim of this systematic review was to examine the effects of a lingual arch on mandibular arch dimensions when it is used as a space maintainer.PubMed, Medline, Lilacs, Cochrane Central, and Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews were surveyed for articles published between January 1980 and January 2009.

Dental arch dimensions in oligodontia patients
American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, 2008The aim of this study was to compare the dental arch sizes in a group of oligodontia patients with a group of age- and sex-matched untreated Class I control patients.Dental casts were measured of 50 oligodontia patients and 50 untreated Class I patients between 8 and 16 years old.

Changes in arch form and dimensions of cleft patients
American Journal of Orthodontics, 1971Abstract The photocopy method of cast analysis permits a better understanding of the dimensional changes occurring during various stages of arch development. The statistical evaluation of the measurements described, and the changes in arch dimension as a result of growth and surgery gave us a better understanding of cleft patients.

Entry Flow in a Circular Tube of Aortic Arch Dimensions
Journal of Biomechanical Engineering, 1984Steady flow within a uniform circular curved tube formed by two 90-deg elbows was studied as a function of ψ, the angle between the planes of curvature of the two elbows. Boundary layer separation was found at two locations. The sites of these separation zones were observed to be essentially independent of ψ while the Reynolds number at which ...

Population‐related differences in fetal aortic arch dimensions
International Journal of Gynecology & Obstetrics, 2008Diagnosing fetal aortic arch anomalies, such as coarctation of the aorta (COA), is difficult. Hornberger et al. [1] constructed nomograms of the normal development of the aortic arch to help detect anomalies by comparing sonographic images with the nomograms for the same gestational ages. However, these graphs are not always reliable across populations.
