Interrelationships between the width, depth, and perimeter of the dental arch.
The International journal of adult orthodontics and orthognathic surgery, 2001Recently, beta function has been shown to be an accurate mathematical model of the human dental arch. In this article a beta function-based nomograph is presented that shows interrelationships between arch width, arch depth, and arch perimeter. This nomograph can be especially useful in predicting the effect of orthognathic surgery on these 3 variables

KD loop for increasing arch perimeter in cleft and noncleft cases.
Orthodontics : the art and practice of dentofacial enhancement, 2016One of the many indications for dental arch expansion in treating malocclusion is to achieve arch compatibility, especially in surgical cases with severe Bolton discrepancies or collapsed arches due to congenitally missing anterior teeth. These cases usually require expansion in both the sagittal and transverse plane to achieve normal arch ...

[Arch perimeter changes on non-extraction correction of dental crowding with Damon appliance].
Shanghai kou qiang yi xue = Shanghai journal of stomatology, 2015To clarify the arch perimeter changes and the mechanism of Damon technique on the correction of dental crowding with non-extraction approach in different dental stages.24 patients with non-extraction Damon appliance treatment were reviewed. They had Class I skeletal pattern and upper arch crowding more than 5mm.

Objectives: The objective is to evaluate the accuracy of Ramanujan’s equation for the perimeter of an ellipse in predicting pre- and post-treatment maxillary arch perimeter in borderline orthodontic cases. Material and Methods: This retrospective cohort study analyzed 70 maxillary dental study models (35 pre-treatment and 35 post-treatment) from non-

Changes in the perimeter of the upper dental arch during different orthodontic treatments
The perimeter of the dental arch (PDA) is considered one of the most importantparameters in the diagnosis and treatment of orthodontic cases. The PDA is where allavailable teeth must be placed in the correct position. For this purpose, the sum of the medio-distal diameter of the teeth must match the perimeter. The aim of this dissertation is to trace ...Gurgurova, Gergana, Yordanova, Greta
