Managing and visualising geochemical data for tephra correlation with the IntChron Integration Tool

ABSTRACT There is now a wealth of glass‐shard geochemical data for volcanic ash (tephra) layers from a wide range of volcanoes and eruptions, providing invaluable datasets for tephrochronology. However, compilation of published data to assess tephra correlations leads to large files and requires careful management.

ABSTRACT Enamel hypoplasia results from temporary disruptions of enamel deposition during tooth development. It is widely used as an indicator of physiological stress in archeological and paleontological contexts; yet, its relationship with environmental conditions during tooth formation remains poorly constrained.

New Insights About the Role of Sn‐Rich and Pb‐Rich Phases Over the Corrosion Mechanism of Low‐Tin Quaternary Bronze Alloys Under Sulfur‐Containing Conditions

Materials and Corrosion, EarlyView.
A mechanistic proposal for the initial steps of quaternary bronze corrosion in media containing sulfate was described. The process is driven by microgalvanic effects along the microstructure, generating anodic sites over lead and tin rich phases and cathodic sites onto Cu‐rich phases.
