Architecture Perspective: The Architecture of Global Access.

IEEE Internet Comput., 1997
The Internet is about access-on the simplest level, access to data, to information and to knowledge; on a more complex level, access to the processing of knowledge; and on the most complex level, access to individuals, to organizations and to government. This article thus describes the architecture of information access.

Time in the Domain Entities Access Architecture

2015
Domain Entities Access is an architecture that enables the realization of platforms supporting responsive environments in the interaction with instrumented physical environments through the observation and the control of meaningful domain entities. This results in an environment model that abstracts from any technological details.

In Pursuit of Architectural Happiness, on the Potential for Change in Legal Frameworks for Accessibility

open access: yesStudies in Health Technology and Informatics
Modern architecture has generated measurable requirements about users’ interactions with the built environment to create user-oriented architecture through meticulous full-scale testing with subsequent standardization.

An accessible bicyclic architecture for synthetic lectins

Chemical Communications, 2013
Bicyclic carbohydrate receptors are easier to synthesise than tri- or tetra-cyclic relatives, and are better adapted to bind monosaccharide residues with bulky appendages. Disaccharides containing β-glucosyl units are preferred substrates.

Flexible Access System Architecture (FASA)

Optical Fiber Communication Conference, 2018
To quickly meet diverse requirements given by emerging new services, we recently proposed a new concept of Flexible Access System Architecture (FASA). The paper reviews our activities on FASA along with disaggregation of time-critical functions.

Decoupled access/execute computer architectures

25 years of the international symposia on Computer architecture (selected papers), 1982
An architecture for improving computer performance is presented and discussed. The main feature of the architecture is a high degree of decoupling between operand access and execution. This results in an implementation which has two separate instruction streams that communicate via queues.

RIP – A robust IP access architecture

Computers & Security, 2009
This research is of the view that only tightly coordinated work among security components as we know them today including firewalls, traffic analysis modules, intrusion detection systems, antivirus remediation systems, etc., is likely to take us closer to a more effective solution against some security threats.

An architecture for seamless access to multicast content

Proceedings 25th Annual IEEE Conference on Local Computer Networks. LCN 2000, 2002
We describe an architecture, which allows transparent access to the multicast infrastructure even when not directly connected to it. In that context, we introduce the concepts dynamic tunnel server location and rare-based path characterization. We propose changes to the UMTP in order to allow dynamic tunnel server location through firewalls. We present

Architectural and technological trends in access: An overview

Bell Labs Technical Journal, 1996
The steady evolution to broadband digital communication is constantly challenging the capabilities of the current public network. Even as new access technologies emerge to support telecommunication services, major regulatory changes are reshaping the marketplace.

Access architecture for a multiprotocol broadband backbone

Computer Networks and ISDN Systems, 1997
We present a comprehensive architectural model of a modular communication infrastructure for providing interconnection between a wide variety of networks with like protocols across a common backbone network. Our concepts are demonstrated to be an appropriate framework for the provision of (a-)synchronous virtual channels, LAN interconnection, and ...
