Scale modeling in architectural acoustics [PDF]
Several types of models are available to the acoustician for the study of room acoustics. Although mathematical modeling has now become popular, due to recent advances in computer technology, the author chose to use scale modeling techniques. A 1:10 scale model was constructed to study the sound field above the audience in a large lecture hall.

Anisotropic Shear Properties of Organic Interfaces in Bio‐composite Materials
A novel cantilever design enables direct probing of shear properties at single organic interfaces within biocomposite prismatic ultrastructures. By decoupling lateral and torsional shear responses, the method reveals isotropic behavior in Atrina vexillum and pronounced anisotropy in Unio pictorum.

Tunable and Recyclable Piezoelectric Biomaterials via Ion‐Directed Guanine‐Quadruplex Assembly
Guanine‐quadruplex (GQ) assemblies, formed via ion‐mediated self‐assembly of amphiphilic guanine derivatives, are introduced as tunable and recyclable piezoelectric biomaterials. Distinct alkali ions induce unique dipole configurations and piezoelectric outputs, with K⁺ yielding the highest performance.
