The Design and Architecture of Microservices
IEEE Cloud Computing, 2016Microservices are sweeping through cloud design architectures, at once embodying new trends and making use of previous paradigms. This column explores the basis for these trends in both modern and historical standards, and sets out a direction for the future of microservices development.

Architecture Design and Assessment with Design Matrix
2011 IEEE World Congress on Services, 2011Practices of developing applications based on SOA principles need to be renovated to meet new requirements for large-scale data processing and to adapt advancements in IT infrastructures in cloud computing. Resource planners will have a significant role as they bridge the development and operation phases in application development.

Architecture and Micro-architecture Design
2021The architecture and micro-architecture are block and sub-block-level representation respectively, and to finalize the ASIC chip architecture the experienced team members uses the specification extraction document. The chapter discusses about the architecture and micro-architecture design concepts and strategies which can be useful during simple to ...

Architectural design in object-Z
2004 Australian Software Engineering Conference. Proceedings., 2004We present a process for introducing an object-oriented architecture into an abstract functional specification written in Object-Z. Since the design is derived from the specification, correctness concerns are addressed as pan of the design process. We base our approach on refactoring rules that apply to class structure, and use the rules to implement ...

The architecture and design of the knowledge organization
Journal of Knowledge Management, 2004The purpose of this paper is to meet the challenge of modeling knowledge organization by introducing a new, unifying, way of thinking about the organization of knowledge. Building on ideas set forth in the behavioral theory of the firm we present a modeling framework in which the central idea is to represent the organization of knowledge as a structure

Architectural Programming and Architectural Design
Advanced Materials Research, 2014Architectural programming provides the basis of architectural design, and provides a framework to guide the whole construction process, results and quality control of the project, the construction activities towards our default direction. Architecture programming plays a very important role in the control of the whole design process and design quality.

Software architecture design is a matter of generate and test. That is, generate a candidate design (a hypothesis), test it to see whether it satisfies its requirements. If it does not, then generate a new hypothesis and repeat the process. Clearly, the hypothesis generation, whether for the initial hypothesis or the subsequent hypotheses is not random.

Designing software architectures for usability
25th International Conference on Software Engineering, 2003. Proceedings., 2003Usability is increasingly recognized as a quality attribute that one has to design for. The conventional alternative is to measure usability on a finished system and improve it. The disadvantage of this approach is, obviously, that the cost associated with implementing usability improvements in a fully implemented system are typically very high and ...

Microprocessor architecture design with ATLAS
IEEE Design & Test of Computers, 1997A concrete example of special- purpose microprocessor development demonstrates how this simulation and analysis package facilitates the early stages of design. Simulation data enable the designer to improve performance quickly and easily with less probability error.
