Detection and estimation of circular arc segments

Pattern Recognition Letters, 1995
We present a series of algorithms for detecting circular arc segments and estimating their circular centers and radii from planar curves. Scale-space filtering is first used to remove noise and extract curve segments with similar local point curvatures. Arc extending and merging algorithms are then applied to extend and join these segments.

Detection of Arcing and High Impedance with Electrical Weapons

2021 43rd Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine & Biology Society (EMBC), 2021
Conducted electrical weapons are primarily designed to stop subjects from endangering themselves or others by deploying 2, or more, probes to conduct current via the body to induce motor-nerve mediated muscle contractions, but probe impedance can vary significantly including open circuits from probes failing to complete or maintain a circuit. We tested ...

Detection of arcs in workpiece images

1989
In this paper we suggest a methodology for detecting arcs and circles in a digitized image, by using as inputs the original image and the gradient image.

An ARC Detection System for ICR - Heating

1997
Due to resonant matching between generator and load (antenna) in Ion Cyclotron Resonance Heating (ICRH) systems, high Rf-voltages can cause arcing within the coaxial line or antenna. The reflected power at the generator is influenced by ELMs (reflection changes caused by the plasma) and arcs (caused by high Rf-voltage flashovers).

Detection of Arcing in Low Voltage Distribution Systems

2008 IEEE Region 10 and the Third international Conference on Industrial and Information Systems, 2008
The paper proposes algorithms based on both frequency and time-frequency analysis for characterization of arcing in low voltage (230 V) distribution systems. A filter bank based approach has been suggested to identify arcing. The protection system aims at preventing fire-hazards resulting from such sustained arcing currents.

The Detection of Dc Arc Fault Based on DFA

2018 IEEE International Conference on Prognostics and Health Management (ICPHM), 2018
Dc arc fault has no zero-crossing point and is difficult to identify, which poses a great challenge to the security and stability of the dc power supply system. Detrended fluctuation analysis (DFA) is suitable for analyzing non-stationary signal. This paper, based on the experimental data of current AC component from automatic fault diagnosis platform,
