Tracking Emotions over Time (the “ARC”)

2021
The primary goal for this session is for clients to explore and learn how emotional experiences unfold. This allows clients to learn from their emotional experiences and how these experiences can influence their later behaviors and emotions. During this session, clients learn the steps that unfold over time in emotions: antecedent (A, what happened ...

Time dependence of vacuum arc parameters

IEEE Transactions on Plasma Science, 1993
Time-resolved investigations of the expanded plasma of vacuum arc cathode spots are described, including the study of the ion charge state distribution, the random cathode spot motion, and the crater formation. It was found that the ion charge state distribution changes over a timescale on the order of hundreds of microseconds.

On the time–scales of magmatism at island–arc volcanoes

Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society of London. Series A: Mathematical, Physical and Engineering Sciences, 2002
Precise information on time-scales and rates of change is fundamental to an understanding of natural processes and the development of quantitative physical models in the Earth sciences. U-series isotope studies are revolutionizing this field by providing time information in the range 10(2)-10(4) years, which is similar to that of many modern Earth ...

Real-time imaging for arc welding

International Journal of Computer Integrated Manufacturing, 1990
Abstract ESPRIT (CIM) Project 9 has taken automated welding systems as instances of 'machines' for which have been developed local, intelligent, corrective systems. Two widely different systems have been studied: single-pass welding, representative of the thin-sheet/high-volume industry (e.g.

Arcing studies in the dite tokamak using a time-resolved arc detector

Journal of Nuclear Materials, 1980
Abstract The incidence of arcing in DITE as a function of the plasma parameters has been investigated using a time-resolved arc detector. The arcs are detected by observing the current and the optical emission from a concentric probe at the same minor radius as the fixed limiter. The measured currents are in good agreement with the estimated currents

Timed-Arc Petri Nets vs. Networks of Timed Automata

2005
We establish mutual translations between the classes of 1-safe timed-arc Petri nets (and its extension with testing arcs) and networks of timed automata (and its subclass where every clock used in the guard has to be reset). The presented translations are very tight (up to isomorphism of labelled transition systems with time).

Polynomial time algorithms on circular‐arc overlap graphs

Networks, 1991
AbstractLet S be a family of arcs on a circle. A graph G = (V,E) is called a circular‐arc overlap graph for S if (i) there is a one‐to‐one correspondence between V and S and (ii) two vertices in V are adjacent if and only if the corresponding arcs in S intersect but neither one of them contains the other. In this article, we present two polynomial time

Translating TPAL Specifications into Timed-Arc Petri Nets

2002
It is well known that Petri nets are a very suitable model for the description and analysis of concurrent systems, and several timed extensions of PNs have been defined to specify the behaviour of systems including time restrictions. But some software designers still find it a little difficult to work directly with Petri nets, specially when dealing ...
