Arctic fox dens in Finland and the environmental factors affecting red fox observations at arctic fox dens

open access: yes
Ihminen on aiheuttanut maapallon historian kuudennen sukupuuttoaallon, jonka vuoksi 25 % maailman lajeista on tällä hetkellä uhanalaisia. Naali on luokiteltu Suomessa äärimmäisen uhanalaiseksi, mikä tekee siitä Suomen uhanalaisimman nisäkkään ...

Targeting DNGR‐1 with Fangchinoline Elevates Dendritic Cell Antigen Cross‐Presentation‐Mediated Antitumor Immunity in Melanoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Fangchinoline is identified as a small‐molecule DNGR‐1 modulator that enhances dendritic‐cell cross‐presentation of tumor antigens. By engaging DNGR‐1 and activating Syk–Nox2 signaling, it promotes phagosomal ROS, antigen escape, MHC‐I presentation, and CD8+ T‐cell priming, thereby strengthening antitumor immunity and sensitizing tumors to PD‐1 ...

Beyond Potency: Emerging Determinants and Optimization Strategies Enhancing Therapeutic Efficacy of Adult Stem Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Adult stem cell therapy requires more than high in vitro potency. This review proposes a systems framework in which cell‐intrinsic programs, instructive microenvironmental cues, and pre‐/post‐delivery engineering are co‐designed under standardized translational rules.

AI‐Assisted Digital Single‐Molecule Activity Tracker for Decoupling Intrinsic Heterogeneity from Photo‐Oxidative Damage in High‐Photon‐Flux Enzymology

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Employing a digital single‐molecule activity tracker (dSMAT), this research demonstrates that high‐photon‐flux irradiation drives progressive oxidative scarring in polymerases. Unlike simple thermal denaturation, real‐time kinetic tracking dynamically visualizes enzymes degrading into multiple impaired subpopulations.

Ion‐Gating Reservoir Computing for Preprocessing‐Free Speech Recognition from Throat Vibrations

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents a throat‐mounted mechanoelectric sensor integrated with an ion‐gel/graphene reservoir device for on‐device speech recognition. The system converts raw biomechanical vibrations into rich nonlinear current dynamics, enabling efficient classification through a simple linear readout. The approach highlights a compact and tunable physical‐

Observations on a Cyclic Decline of Lemmings (Lemmus) on the Arctic Coast of Alaska During the Spring of 1949

open access: yes, 1950
Results of observations carried out at the Arctic Research Laboratory, Point Barrow region (1) "during the peak density" preceding the cyclic decline occurring in the spring of 1949, (2) during the decline, and (3) for more than a year subsequent to it ...
