Dataset of consumer-based activity trackers as a tool for physical activity monitoring in epidemiological studies during the COVID-19 Pandemic

open access: yesData in Brief, 2022
Physical activity (PA) data were downloaded from 113 participants who owned a Garmin or Fitbit activity tracker in 2019 and 2020. Upon participant authorization, data were automatically downloaded from the Garmin and Fitbit cloud storages.

Time‐Controlled Dual Targeting to Program Systemic and Intercellular Transfer of Therapeutic Effects

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Aspirin‐liposomes loaded onto monocytes enable inflammation‐triggered targeting and efficient hand‐over of aspirin to inflamed cells. Monocytes uptake a significant portion of aspirin‐liposomes, prolonging therapeutic action. This approach enhances anti‐inflammatory effects through intercellular transfer, demonstrating a translational strategy for ...

Biologically‐Inspired Melt Electrowriting for the Generation of Highly Biomimetic Functional Myocardium

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this work, melt electrowriting is used to fabricate a 3D printed scaffold design that generates engineered cardiac tissues with in‐plane contraction, mimicking natural myocardium. It is shown that these tissues display advanced maturation and functionality.

Bioorthogonal Engineering of Cellular Microenvironments Using Isonitrile Ligations

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Highly selective chemistries are required for fabrication and post‐cross–linking modification of cell‐encapsulating hydrogels used in tissue engineering applications. Isonitrile ligation reactions represent a promising class of bioorthogonal chemistries for engineering hydrogel‐based cellular microenvironments. Isonitrile‐based hydrogels are stable and
