Appearance before performance? Nutritional constraints on life‐history traits, but not warning signal expression in aposematic moths

Under limited protein resources for the pigment synthesis, aposematic wood tiger moths (Arctia plantaginis) prioritize investment in their defensive colour pattern in comparison with performance and size‐associated traits in both larval and adult stages.
