Nipple Areola Reconstructing Reduction Mammaplasty [PDF]

open access: yesAesthetic Surgery Journal, 2013
The pigment density and texture of breast skin are not uniform. Especially in patients with massive breasts, lower pole skin can be significantly darker and coarser than the upper pole skin. Nipple areola reconstructing (NAR) reduction mammaplasty is a technical modification of the "free nipple" procedure in which the original nipple areola complex ...

Endoscope‐Assisted Nipple‐Sparing Mastectomy With Immediate Implant Reconstruction: A Retrospective Study

open access: yesWorld Journal of Surgery, EarlyView.
Breast cancer surgery increasingly favors nipple‐sparing and endoscopic techniques to optimize oncological safety, cosmetic outcomes, and patient satisfaction. We aimed to evaluate and compare the clinical efficacy and postoperative safety profiles of endoscope‐assisted and conventional open approaches for nipple‐sparing mastectomy with immediate ...

A Novel Technique for Single-stage Reconstruction of Nipple-Areola Complex following Central Lumpectomy

open access: yesPlastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Global Open, 2021
Summary. Several oncoplastic techniques have been proposed for subareolar breast cancer, some of which may require contralateral operation for symmetry, or more than one operation for delayed reconstruction of the nipple-areola complex (NAC).
