Widespread intra-axonal signal fraction abnormalities in bipolar disorder from multicompartment diffusion MRI: Sensitivity to diagnosis, association with clinical features and pharmacologic treatment. [PDF]

open access: yesHum Brain Mapp, 2023
A whole‐brain voxel‐based approach combining DTI and SMT diffusion‐derived metrics to reveal specific brain tissue microstructure abnormalities in bipolar disorder (BD) was carried out. We also evaluate the sensitivity of various diffusion metrics for the automatic diagnosis of BD through machine learning algorithms and cross‐validation.

Borracha natural e nanocompósitos com argila [PDF]

open access: yesQuimica Nova, 2009
The natural rubber is a strategic material which can not be replaced by synthetic rubber in many technological applications. Brazil is a rubber importer, but new techniques of cultivation, breeding and diversification of producing species can reverse this situation. One of the best ways to add value to this commodity is nanotechnology.

Fotodegradação de compósitos de poliestireno/argila montmorilonita: efeito do tipo de argila e presença de sal [PDF]

open access: yesPolimeros, 2012

Associations between air pollution and surrounding greenness with internalizing and externalizing behaviors among schoolchildren. [PDF]

open access: yesChild Adolesc Ment Health
Background Air pollution and greenness are emerging as modifiable risk and protective factors, respectively, in child psychopathology. However, research shows inconsistencies. Here, we examined associations between air pollution and surrounding greenness with internalizing and externalizing behaviors.

Argilas especiais: argilas quimicamente modificadas - uma revisão [PDF]

open access: yesQuímica Nova, 2007
The simultaneous use of the specific values of some structural and chemical properties of clay minerals, such as kaolinite, montmorillonite and talc, allows the development of new properties for these materials, especially in relation to the external and internal microcrystal surfaces. These developments are very diversified for montmorillonite, due to
