Atomic Layer Deposition in Transistors and Monolithic 3D Integration
Transistors are fundamental building blocks of modern electronics. This review summarizes recent progress in atomic layer deposition (ALD) for the synthesis of two‐dimensional (2D) metal oxides and transition‐metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs), with particular emphasis on their enabling role in monolithic three‐dimensional (M3D) integration for next ...

Parallel plate radiofrequency ion thruster [PDF]
An 8-cm-diam. argon ion thruster is described. It is operated by applying 100 to 160 Mhz rf power across a thin plasma volume in a strongly divergent static magnetic field.

Electrochemical CO2 reduction (ECR) to formate is a promising route for sustainable chemical production. Herein, we report the synthesis catalysed byBi‐HfO2@C. The AIMD simulations, DFT calculations, and in situ SEIRAS measurements show that the modification of HfO2 on the Bi surface steers the interfacial water to adopt a favorable hydrogen‐down (OH2↓)

Coagulative granular hydrogels are composed of packed thrombin‐functionalized microgels that catalyze the conversion of fibrinogen into a secondary fibrin network, filling the interstitial voids. This bio‐inspired approach stabilizes the biomaterial to match the robustness of bulk hydrogels without compromising injectability, mimicking the initial ...

Mechanical and Electrical Phenotype of hiPSC‐Cardiomyocytes on Fibronectin‐Based Hydrogels
We introduce fibronectin‐based PEG hydrogels with controlled rigidity to enable the culture of iPSC‐derived cardiomyocytes. These substrates offer an alternative to the current culture of these cells on fibronectin‐coated glass, providing enhanced structural and functional behavior. The system provides a more physiologically relevant platform to assess

Investigation into the effect of plasma pretreatment on the adhesion of parylene to various substrates [PDF]
A procedure is described for using argon and oxygen plasmas to promote adhesion of parylene coatings upon many difficult-to-bond substrates. Substrates investigated were gold, nickel, kovar, teflon (FEP), kapton, silicon, tantalum, titanium, and tungsten.
