Antimicrobial activity of cold atmospheric-pressure argon plasma combined with chicory (Cichorium intybus L.) extract against P. aeruginosa and E. coli biofilms

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2023
The present study reports a significant combined antibacterial activity of Cichorium intybus L. (known as Chicory) natural extract with cold atmospheric-pressure argon plasma treatment against multi-drug resistant (MDR) Gram-negative bacteria.

Argon plasma coagulation for management of hemoptysis in endobronchial metastasis from soft-tissue sarcoma

open access: yesRespiratory Medicine Case Reports, 2019
Hemoptysis is a manifestation of a wide variety of diseases. Endobronchial metastases from nonpulmonary neoplasms are unusual. Among these causes, soft-tissue sarcoma is also discretely rare and scarcely documented.

The Plasma Characterization of Argon and Helium Gases in Inertial Electrostatic Confinement Fusion Plasma Device

open access: yesJournal of Scientific Research in Science, 2020
One of the numerous methods that could be used in order to confine hot fusion plasma is the Inertial Electrostatic Confinement (IEC) fusion. IEC plasma device was studied experimentally with Argon and Helium gases at different pressures.

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

A simplified hydrokinetic model for a steady‐state microwave discharge sustained by traveling waves at atmospheric pressure conditions [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
The properties of a microwave‐induced argon plasma produced by traveling surface wave at atmospheric pressure are investigated theoretically. A hydrokinetic model is elaborated to obtain the nonequilibrium one‐dimensional profiles of electron temperature

PARP inhibition and pharmacological ascorbate demonstrate synergy in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

Karakterisasi Plasma Jet Argon Menggunakan Kolom Dielectric Barrier Discharge (Dbd) pada Tekanan Atmosfer [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
An atmospheric of Argon plasma jet is generated with column dielectric barrier discharge high voltage alternating current. Characterization of Argon plasma jet is used to observe the effect of variations in the voltage (V) to the length of the plasma jet.
