Argus: A universal detector at DORIS II
Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section A: Accelerators, Spectrometers, Detectors and Associated Equipment, 1989Abstract The detector ARGUS has been designed as a universal tool to investigate final states from e + e − annihilation processes in the energy range of the ϒ resonances. ARGUS started operation in October 1982 and has since successfully taken data at the ϒ(1S), ϒ(2S) and ϒ(4S) energies, and in the nearby continuum.

The Argus® II Retinal Prosthesis System
Progress in Retinal and Eye Research, 2016The Argus(®) II Retinal Prosthesis System (Second Sight Medical Products) is the first prosthetic vision device to obtain regulatory approval in both Europe and the USA. As such it has entered the commercial market as a treatment for patients with profound vision loss from end-stage outer retinal disease, predominantly retinitis pigmentosa.

Assessment of MRI issues for the Argus II Retinal Prosthesis
Magnetic Resonance Imaging, 2012The objective was to evaluate magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) issues (magnetic field interactions, heating, artifacts and functional alterations) at 1.5 T and 3 T for the Argus II Retinal Prosthesis (Second Sight Medical Products, Sylmar, CA, USA).Standardized protocols were used to assess magnetic field interactions (translational attraction and ...

Rehabilitation of lost functional vision with the Argus II retinal prosthesis
Canadian Journal of Ophthalmology, 2018The Argus II retinal prosthesis is the first commercially available device for restoration of vision in patients with Retinitis Pigmentosa or with similar retinal pathology who still have minimal residual native vision. The technology is able to restore vision with production of artificial visual percepts which usually are given adequate useful ...

Implantation of the Argus II Retinal Prosthesis in an Eye With Short Axial Length
Ophthalmic Surgery, Lasers and Imaging Retina, 2016The authors describe the implantation of the Argus II Retinal Prosthesis System (Argus II) (Second Sight Medical Products, Sylmar, CA) into a short axial length (AL) eye. The authors' main modification is the use of endocyclophotocoagulation (endo-CPC) to the ciliary processes in the area that the cable enters through the sclerotomy.
