Spatiotemporal Evolution of the Aridity Index and Its Latitudinal Patterns in the Lancang River Basin, China

open access: yesAtmosphere
Under the context of global climate change, aridity responses exhibit significant differences across various latitudinal zones, and quantifying the dependency relationship between aridity and latitudinal zones is of great importance for differentiated ...

Single‐Cell Transcriptomic Atlases of Camels and Cattle Unravel Molecular Evolution of Digestive and Metabolic Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We generated multi‐tissue single‐cell transcriptomic atlases of camels and cattle, uncovering conserved and lineage‐specific cellular features across digestive and metabolic systems. Cross‐species comparisons revealed the evolutionary origin of the camel glandular sac and identified novel cell populations linked to physiological specialization ...

Global Nitrogen Deposition Promotes Carbon Sink Formation in Terrestrial Ecosystems

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Nitrogen deposition alleviates ecosystem N limitation and enhances carbon sinks. Using 829 observations, we show 36% of deposited N is retained globally (39.15 Tg N yr−1), with distinct NHx and NOy contributions. This retention drives a terrestrial C sink of 0.88 Pg C yr−1 (25.48%), highlighting the importance of pool‐specific C:N stoichiometry ...

Enhanced Bandgap Flexibility in Perovskite‐Silicon Tandem Solar Cells via Three‐Terminal Architecture

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Three‐terminal (3T) perovskite/silicon tandem solar cells overcome the current‐matching constraints of 2T designs. Using an IBC POLO silicon bottom cell, we demonstrate a 30.1% PCE, with performance largely decoupled from perovskite bandgap and enhanced resilience under realistic, time‐dependent solar spectra.

The De Martonne aridity index in Calabria (Southern Italy)

open access: yesJournal of Maps, 2019
In this paper, the annual rainfall and temperature values, measured in the period 1951-2016 in a region of southern Italy (Calabria), have been spatially interpolated using deterministic and geostatistical techniques in an R environment.

Optimal Grazing Exclusion Duration to Enhance Soil Carbon Sequestration in Degraded Grasslands

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Across China, grazing exclusion reaches the national mean soil organic carbon recovery benchmark sooner in high‐MAP regions (> 500 mm), but recovery is much slower where MAP < 300 mm. Scaling this strategy to 70% of China's degraded grasslands would sequester about 1.52 Pg of soil carbon over 10 years—roughly 17% of annual global fossil‐fuel emissions.

Ultrasoft Yet Tough Multifunctional Organohydrogels Enabled by Molecular Chain Lubrication Strategy for Self‐Powered Wearable Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An ultrasoft yet tough organohydrogel (AQGL) with 5800% stretchability and 14.3 kPa modulus is developed via a novel molecular chain lubrication strategy. It features optical transparency, drying/freezing (−40°C) tolerance, antibacterial activity, conductivity, self‐healing, and adhesiveness.

Divergent driving mechanisms of community temporal stability in China's drylands

open access: yesEnvironmental Science and Ecotechnology
Climate change and anthropogenic activities are reshaping dryland ecosystems globally at an unprecedented pace, jeopardizing their stability. The stability of these ecosystems is crucial for maintaining ecological balance and supporting local communities.
