Postcranial skeleton of the marine catfish arius tenuispinis (osteichthyes: Siluriformes, Ariidae)

AbstractThe axial skeleton and the skeletal supports of median and paired fins of Arius tenuispinis, a marine catfish, are described. Particular attention is given to the description of the complex vertebra, the Weberian ossicles, and the articulations between the fin spines and their respective radials and girdle elements.
