Learning Management System Analytics on Arithmetic Fluency Performance: A Skill Development Case in K6 Education

open access: yesMultimodal Technologies and Interaction, 2022
Achieving fluency in arithmetic operations is vital if students are to develop mathematical creativity and critical thinking abilities. Nevertheless, a substantial body of literature has demonstrated that students are struggling to develop such skills ...

Math Fluency during Primary School

open access: yesBrain Sciences, 2022
Math fluency is the ability to solve arithmetic facts quickly and accurately (i.e., addition and subtraction problems up to 20, and multiplication and division problems from the multiplication table).

Analysis of algorithms performing basic arithmetic operations in the quadratic RNS

open access: yesНаука. Инновации. Технологии, 2022
In this paper we explore the question of representing complex numbers in a residue number system and build algorithms for the operations of addition and multiplication. The idea of the construction of such systems is in determining how the set of complex

All‐in‐One Analog AI Hardware: On‐Chip Training and Inference with Conductive‐Metal‐Oxide/HfOx ReRAM Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An all‐in‐one analog AI accelerator is presented, enabling on‐chip training, weight retention, and long‐term inference acceleration. It leverages a BEOL‐integrated CMO/HfOx ReRAM array with low‐voltage operation (<1.5 V), multi‐bit capability over 32 states, low programming noise (10 nS), and near‐ideal weight transfer.

A Novel Weakest t-norm based Fuzzy Fault Tree Analysis Through Qualitative Data Processing and Its Application in System Reliability Evaluation

open access: yesJournal of Intelligent Systems, 2018
The quantification of the fuzzy fault tree analysis (FFTA) is based on fuzzy arithmetic operations. It is well known that the weakest t-norm (Tw)-based fuzzy arithmetic operations have some advantages.

The Issue of Using Ordinal Quantities to Estimate the Vulnerability of Seabirds to Oil Spills

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering, 2020
Oil spills can have a serious negative effect on seabirds. Numerous studies have been carried out for relative vulnerability assessment of seabirds to oil, with the majority of such works based on ordinal quantities.

Arithmetic Framework to Optimize Packet Forwarding among End Devices in Generic Edge Computing Environments

open access: yesSensors, 2022
Multi-access edge computing implementations are ever increasing in both the number of deployments and the areas of application. In this context, the easiness in the operations of packet forwarding between two end devices being part of a particular edge ...

Structure–Transport–Ion Retention Coupling for Enhanced Nonvolatile Artificial Synapses

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Nitrogen incorporation into the conjugated backbone of donor–acceptor polymers enables efficient charge transfer and deep ion embedding in organic electrochemical synaptic transistors (OESTs). This molecular‐level design enhances non‐volatile synaptic properties, providing a new strategy for developing high‐performance and reliable neuromorphic devices.

Membrane Wrapping for High Capacity and Rapidly Switchable Adhesives

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A membrane‐wrapping mechanism enables high‐capacity, rapidly switchable adhesion by coupling suction, friction, and adhesion. Broadband performance is achieved in dry and underwater conditions, allowing fast, reversible manipulation of objects of diverse sizes and shapes, from delicate eggs and berries to flat, complex, or heavy objects. These outcomes
