An Optimised Adaptive Integral Sliding Mode Control Approach for Multi‐Area Power Systems: Enhancing LFC Robustness and Stability With RES Integration and Time‐Delay Mitigation

open access: yesIET Energy Systems Integration, Volume 7, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
ABSTRACT Frequency stability is vital to power system operation, especially in interconnected power systems (IPS) and smart grids where renewable energy sources and load fluctuations introduce unpredictability. This variability and time delay from decentralised control configurations can impair load frequency control (LFC) and compromise system ...

A New Algorithm for Multi‐Objective Hybrid Economic Emission Dispatch Using Data‐Driven Forecasting of Wind and Solar Power

open access: yesIET Generation, Transmission &Distribution, Volume 19, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
This paper presents a multi‐objective hybrid dynamic economic emission dispatch (HDEED) model incorporating wind and solar power generation. An evolutionary neural network‐based forecasting method is employed to accurately predict renewable outputs, which are integrated into the optimisation framework to minimise both cost and emissions.

A Methodological Framework to Hybrid Machine Learning for Detecting Unusual Cyberattacks in Internet of Things

open access: yesIET Information Security, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
Background: The Internet of Things (IoT) represents one of the fastest‐expanding developments in the computer industry. However, the inherently hostile environment of the internet makes IoT systems vulnerable. A popular and promising method for detecting cyberattacks is machine learning (ML), which produces excellent outcomes for identified attacks ...
