Systematic Benchmarking of a Noise‐Tolerant Conductive Hydrogel Electrode for Epidermal Bioelectronics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
General schematic of the approach. Abstract Conventional Silver/Silver Chloride (Ag/AgCl) electrodes remain the clinical standard for electrophysiological monitoring but are hindered by poor skin conformity, mechanical rigidity, and signal degradation, particularly under motion or sweat.

A survey on the arity gap

open access: yes, 2015
The arity gap of a function of several variables is defined as the minimum decrease in the number of essential variables when essential variables of the function are identified. We present a brief survey on the research done on the arity gap, from the first studies of this notion up to recent developments, and discuss some natural extensions and ...

A Versatile Three Dimensional Traction Force Microscopy Framework for Uncovering the Mechanics of Bio‐Adhesion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study introduces a versatile platform for quantifying three dimensional traction forces at bio‐adhesive interfaces. Integrating in situ stereo‐digital image correlation with finite element simulations allows for precise measurement of microscale displacements and traction forces in both dry and wet conditions.

A Novel 10‐Protein Score for Liver Fat Content Predicts Cardiovascular‐Kidney‐Metabolic Disease Risk

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel 10‐protein plasma score precisely quantifies liver fat, outperforming the fatty liver index. It robustly predicts the risk of numerous cardiovascular‐kidney‐metabolic diseases and integrates with genetic data for precision prevention, offering a practical alternative to magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Abstract Liver fat content (LFC) is a key
