Rupture and Relamination of Continental Lithosphere in a Subduction System (Variscan Orogeny, SW Iberia)

open access: yesTectonics, Volume 44, Issue 7, July 2025.
Abstract Relamination is closely connected to subduction zones. Despite the numerous high‐P metamorphic belts recognized on Earth, relamination remains a poorly documented process. We present a continental subduction zone where the exhuming high‐P rocks became a relaminant under the upper plate.

On power Armendariz rings

open access: yesGulf Journal of Mathematics, 2015
The study of Armendariz rings was initiated by Rege and Chhawchharia, based on a result of Armendariz related to the structure of reduced rings. Recently, Armendariz rings were generalized to power Armendariz rings in [12, 18]. We investigate the transfer of the power Armendariz property to subring retracts, trivial ring extensions, finite direct ...

Migrant money and political unrest: Remittances and support for protest in Latin America and the Caribbean

open access: yesInternational Migration, Volume 63, Issue 3, June 2025.
Abstract How does receiving remittances from abroad influence support for protest participation in origin democracies? Drawing on survey data from Latin America and the Caribbean, a region where social discontent quickly escalates and takes disruptive forms, it is found that remittance recipients do not vary from non‐recipients in their support for ...

When Governments Deliver: Migrant Remittances and the Willingness to Pay Higher Local Taxes

open access: yesDevelopment and Change, Volume 56, Issue 3, Page 393-425, May 2025.
ABSTRACT This article deviates from prior research which considers only national‐level and formal taxes when examining tax attitudes and behaviours in migrant‐sending countries. It investigates the relationship between the receipt of remittances and ‘conditional tax compliance’, and how it varies between the local and the national levels.

RINGS OVER WHICH POLYNOMIAL RINGS ARE ARMENDARIZ AND REVERSIBLE

open access: yesKorean Journal of Mathematics, 2012
Summary: A ring \(R\) is called \textit{reversibly Armendariz} if \(b_j a_i = 0\) for all \(i,j\) whenever \(f(x)g(x) = 0\) for two polynomials \(f(x) = \sum_{i=0}^m {a_i x_i}\), \(g(x) = \sum_{j=0}^n {b_j x_j}\) over \(R\). It is proved that a ring \(R\) is reversibly Armendariz if and only if its polynomial ring is reversibly Armendariz if and only ...
