Optimized Configuration of Mismatched Photovoltaic Arrays

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Photovoltaics, 2016
When the panels in a photovoltaic (PV) array are subjected to a nonuniform irradiance level, some bypass diodes may turn on , and the overall power production might be affected significantly. An increase of the power delivered by the whole array might be obtained by means of its electrical reconfiguration, that is, the change of the series–parallel ...

Functional Connectivity Linked to Cognitive Recovery After Minor Stroke

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Patients with minor stroke exhibit slowed processing speed and generalized alterations in functional connectivity involving frontoparietal cortex (FPC). The pattern of connectivity evolves over time. In this study, we examine the relationship of functional connectivity patterns to cognitive performance, to determine ...

Aperture Array Configurations for SKA1 Core

open access: yesArXiv.org, 2014
This memo considers some aspects of the configuration of the SKA1 Low Frequency Aperture Array, both at the element and station level. At the element level I propose a possible scenario for forming station beams where elements are shared between stations and apodisation is implemented, with the aim of improving filling factor, overall sensitivity and ...

Unraveling the Molecular Mechanisms of Glioma Recurrence: A Study Integrating Single‐Cell and Spatial Transcriptomics

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Glioma recurrence severely impacts patient prognosis, with current treatments showing limited efficacy. Traditional methods struggle to analyze recurrence mechanisms due to challenges in assessing tumor heterogeneity, spatial dynamics, and gene networks.

Aerodynamic Performance and Coupling Gain Effect of Archimedes Spiral Wind Turbine Array

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering
The Archimedes spiral wind turbine (ASWT), as a novel type of horizontal-axis wind turbine, is well suited for remote islands. To explore the aerodynamic performance and coupling gain effect of ASWT array, a three-dimensional numerical simulation was ...

Hopfield Neural Networks for Online Constrained Parameter Estimation With Time‐Varying Dynamics and Disturbances

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
This paper proposes two projector‐based Hopfield neural network (HNN) estimators for online, constrained parameter estimation under time‐varying data, additive disturbances, and slowly drifting physical parameters. The first is a constraint‐aware HNN that enforces linear equalities and inequalities (via slack neurons) and continuously tracks the ...

Distributed Radar Main-lobe Interference Suppression Method Via Joint Optimization of Array Configuration and Subarray Element Number

open access: yesLeida xuebao
To address the ineffectiveness of single-base radar in suppressing adjoint main-lobe interference, an equivalent large-aperture array can be designed by deploying sparse auxiliary arrays to separate main-lobe interference from targets in the spatial ...

Current Tracking Adaptive Control of Brushless DC Motors

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
In this paper, the current tracking for Brushless Direct Current motors is approached considering uncertainty in the parameters of the motor's model. An adaptive control scheme to compensate electrical parameters uncertainty is proposed without requiring any knowledge of the mechanical parameters.
