Non-Integer Arrays for Array Signal Processing

IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, 2022
Linear arrays with sensors at integer locations are widely used in array signal processing. This paper considers arrays where sensor locations can be rational numbers. It is demonstrated that such rational arrays have some important advantages over integer arrays.

Array design for MEM and MLM array processing

ICASSP '81. IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 2005
Much work has been done on designing arrays for use with conventional beamforming techniques. However, high resolution array processing techniques such as the maximum entropy (MEM) and maximum likelihood (MLM) methods impose different constraints on the array.

Array Processing

2023
Array is one of the very important data in software processing, it will be used to store data in the form of a list. Almost all programming languages support array processing, and so does the Kotlin language. However, with Kotlin, arrays are a very powerful data type, which overcome many disadvantages compared to other programming languages such as C++,

Parallelism and Array Processing

IEEE Transactions on Computers, 1984
Modern computing, as well as the historical development of computing, has been dominated by sequential monoprocessing. Yet there is the alternative of parallelism, where several processes may be in concurrent execution. This alternative is discussed, in which the main developments involving parallelism are considered both from the standpoint of ...

Beamforming and array processing with active arrays

Proceedings of IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium, 2002
An experimental phased array radar (ELRA) has been developed as a basis for investigations of various kinds of new radar functions and signal processing techniques. Two separate active antenna arrays for transmitting (300 transistor power amplifiers) and receiving (768 channels) have been built.

Array processing machines

1985
We present a new model of parallel computation called the "array processing machine" or APM. The APM was designed to closely model the architecture of existing vector- and array processors, and to provide a suitable unifying framework for the complexity theory of parallel combinatorial and numerical algorithms.

Array processing on an array processor

ACM SIGPLAN Notices, 1975
Central memory is distributed across several processing elements on the ILLIAC-IV and similar array processors. This causes memory to appear two dimensional and raises special problems in the handling of arrays. Assignment of arrays to storage, and development of efficient array mapping functions and accessing techniques are all much more difficult ...

Sonar Arrays and Array Processing

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2005
Arrays of hydrophones have been part of Navy sonar systems for over fifty years now. They are used both passively and actively and now are quite sophisticated. These arrays were used in fixed configuration such as the SOSUS system and towed arrays deployed from surface ships and submarines.

Array processing for channel equalization

IEEE International Conference on Acoustics Speech and Signal Processing, 2002
An array of primitive programmable processors has been designed for high throughput reconfigurable signal processing. Each processor retains a primitive instruction set, minimal local storage, and exchanges data with adjacent processors using nearest neighbor communication.
