Digital optical isochronous array processing

Applied Optics, 1987
An optical isochronous array processing method is proposed. An optical isochronous array processor (OIAP) is a local regularly interconnected processing network that employs an array of identical optical processing elements. In an OIAP, incoming isochronous data are parallel processed in a fashion much like a propagating electromagnetic wavefront.

Multitaper Array Processing

2007 Conference Record of the Forty-First Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems and Computers, 2007
Thomson's multitaper approach generates estimates of the power spectrum by averaging individual "eigenspectra" obtained using a set of orthogonal window functions. The multitaper method is designed to work with very low sample support, typically a single snapshot of data, making it very attractive for the analysis of nonstationary or transient signals.

Beamforming and array processing with active arrays

Proceedings of IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium, 2002
An experimental phased array radar (ELRA) has been developed as a basis for investigations of various kinds of new radar functions and signal processing techniques. Two separate active antenna arrays for transmitting (300 transistor power amplifiers) and receiving (768 channels) have been built.

Informed Array Processing

2016
The concept of informed array processing is introduced in this chapter. The conceptual aim of informed array processing is to incorporate relevant spatial information about the problem to be solved into the design of spatial filters and into the estimation of the second-order statistics that are required to implement the beamformers of Chap.

Parametric Array Processing

2016
This chapter takes a different approach to signal enhancement using spherical microphone arrays: a physically-motivated parametric representation of the sound field is introduced. It is shown that the sound field can be manipulated to achieve noise reduction or dereverberation by applying a time- and frequency-dependent gain to a reference signal.

Array signal processing

2001
In this chapter, an overview of the fundamentals of array signal processing is provided with a particular emphasis on recent advances in direction-ofarrival (DOA) estimation and adaptive beamforming. It is then highlighted that the signal models used in array processing and space-time block coded MIMO communications are rather similar. At the same time,

Radar Array Processing

1993
This manual presents modern techniques and methods for processing radar signals received by an array of antenna elements. With the recent rapid growth of the technology of hardware for digital signal processing, it is now possible to apply this to radar signals and thus to enlist the full power of sophisticated computational algorithms.
