Wafer-Scale Transfer of Vertically Aligned Carbon Nanotube Arrays

Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2014
The first critical step in making vertically aligned carbon nanotube (VACNT)-based thermal interface materials is to transfer the VACNTs on a large scale. Although VACNTs have been transferred by several methods, they were only transferred inadvertently in most cases.

Direct Growth of Semiconducting Single-Walled Carbon Nanotube Array

Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2009
By introducing the UV beam into our homemade chemical vapor deposition system, we had obtained a well aligned SWNT array on an ST-cut quartz substrate. After transfer onto a SiO(2)/Si substrate, the SWNT array was detected by Raman spectroscopy and electrical measurement, which showed that over 95% of the SWNTs were semiconducting ones.

Efficient Fabrication of Carbon Nanotube Micro Tip Arrays by Tailoring Cross-Stacked Carbon Nanotube Sheets

Nano Letters, 2012
Carbon nanotube (CNT) micro tip arrays with hairpin structures on patterned silicon wafers were efficiently fabricated by tailoring the cross-stacked CNT sheet with laser. A blade-like structure was formed at the laser-cut edges of the CNT sheet.

CVD growth of carbon nanotube bundle arrays

Carbon, 2006
Recent discovery of enhanced field emission current intensity from arrays of bundles of carbon nanotubes (CNT) has prompted this investigation of the growth of CNT bundle arrays by metal-catalyzed chemical vapor deposition (CVD), in order to understand and control the growth of these arrays.
