Carbon Nanotube Based Infrared Detector Array
2008 8th IEEE Conference on Nanotechnology, 2008As a promising nanomaterial, carbon nanotube (CNT) has been studied for infrared sensing with their unique properties such as wide range of band gaps and reduced carrier scattering. However, due to the traditional inefficient and unreliable fabrication processes, the research of CNT based infrared sensors remained on the single pixel study, which ...

Computer generated holograms for carbon nanotube arrays
Nanoscale, 2013Multiwalled carbon nanotubes are highly diffractive structures in the optical regime. Their metallic character and large scattering cross-section allow their usage as diffractive elements in Fraunhofer holograms. This work elaborates some important features of the far field diffraction patterns produced from periodic arrays of nanotubes.

Ice-Assisted Transfer of Carbon Nanotube Arrays
Nano Letters, 2015Decoupling the growth and the application of nanomaterials by transfer is an important issue in nanotechnology. Here, we developed an efficient transfer technique for carbon nanotube (CNT) arrays by using ice as a binder to temporarily bond the CNT array and the target substrate.

Junction array carbon nanotube bolometer
Journal of Applied Physics, 2013Vertically aligned arrays of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWNT forests) irradiated with low-intensity near-infrared laser exhibited bolometric response that became significant with decreasing temperature down from room to about 84 K. High responsivity of 42 V/W with signal bandwidth of about 2600 Hz was observed in the region with a surprisingly ...

Correlated electrical breakdown in arrays of high density aligned carbon nanotubes
, 2011We demonstrate that in a densely packed aligned array of single walled carbon nanotubes, the electrical breakdown of one nanotube leads to a highly correlated electrical breakdown of neighboring nanotubes, thereby producing a nanofissure.

Nanoscale Application for Carbon Nanotube Arrays
2007Abstract : The original goals for the research program were to: 1) fabricate an interconnected array of single wall carbon nanotubes (SWNT) and 2) use the device to investigate cellular signaling in live cells. The most challenging part of this research (as anticipated) was the fabrication of the carbon nanotube array and most of the effort of this ...
