Efficacy, safety and cost‐effectiveness of CAR‐T therapy

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
CAR T‐cells demonstrate high efficacy in blood cancers, including ALL, MM and DLBCL. Innovations target solid tumours despite challenges such as antigen escape. Combination therapies enhance the delivery and infiltration of CAR T cells. Toxicity, cost and resistance remain major barriers to clinical use.

Long-term nifekalant use in a patient with dilated cardiomyopathy and recurrent ventricular tachycardia

open access: yesJournal of International Medical Research, 2022
The potential utility of nifekalant, a new Class III antiarrhythmic drug, to offer long-term protection against ventricular arrhythmia has been investigated in this case report.

Associations between respiratory sinus arrhythmia reactivity and internalizing and externalizing symptoms are emotion specific

open access: yesCognitive, Affective, & Behavioral Neuroscience, 2012
Internalizing and externalizing disorders are often, though inconsistently in studies of young children, associated with low baseline levels of respiratory sinus arrhythmia (RSA).

Clinical Anatomy of the Left and Right Atrial Appendages in Humans: Comparative and Developmental Perspective

open access: yesClinical Anatomy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Human atrial chambers derive from distinct embryonic anlagens, the original embryonic atria gradually transforming into the so‐called auricles, or atrial appendages. This study quantifies macroscopic variations in pectinate muscle architecture in human atrial appendages and evaluates their visualization using clinical imaging modalities.

Transcatheter Repair of Sinus Venosus Defect Using a 12‐zig Covered Cheatham‐Platinum Stent in Large Superior Vena Cava—Right Atrium Junctions: Early Multicenter Experience

open access: yesCatheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Sinus venosus defect (SVD) is a rare congenital heart anomaly characterised by an abnormal communication between the atria, often associated with partial anomalous pulmonary venous connection (PAPVC). Traditional surgical repair carries significant risks, prompting exploration into less invasive transcatheter approaches.

Automatic diagnostics of extrasystoles during cardiointervalogram preliminary assessment (filtration) in systems for heart rate variability analysis

open access: yesРоссийский кардиологический журнал, 2005
Heart rate variability analysis requires the following: registered rhythm must be sinus one, regular or arrhythmic; cardiac arrhythmias should be diagnosed automatically and interpoled without disturbing RR interval dynamic row.

Three-dimensional transesophageal echocardiography-guided transcathetar closure of ruptured noncoronary sinus of valsalva aneurysm

open access: yesAnnals of Cardiac Anaesthesia, 2017
Sinus of Valsalva aneurysm accounts for only 1% of congenital cardiac anomalies. Sinus of Valsalva aneurysm can cause aortic insufficiency, coronary artery flow compromise, cardiac arrhythmia, or aneurysm rupture.

Unveiling the Microvasculature: The Index of Microcirculatory Resistance and Its Expanding Role in Cardiovascular Care

open access: yesCatheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Index of microcirculatory resistance (IMR) is a cutting‐edge, wire‐based tool that advances the capability assessment of coronary microvascular function. By utilizing distal coronary pressure and mean transit time under maximal hyperemia, IMR delivers consistent, reproducible insights into the microvasculature's dynamic health.

Peritraumatic dissociation revisited: associations with autonomic activation, facial movements, staring, and intrusion formation

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Psychotraumatology, 2021
Background: Peritraumatic dissociation is purported to emerge together with attenuated autonomic arousal, immobility, and staring. However, empirical evidence is scarce and heterogeneous.

Cerebrovascular Events in Aortic Stenosis: From Native Valve Disease to TAVR‐Specific Risk and Prevention

open access: yesCatheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Aortic stenosis (AS) is associated with a heightened burden of cardiovascular comorbidities, atrial fibrillation (AF), and progressive valvular calcification, all of which may contribute to cerebrovascular events across the disease continuum.
