The Astrophysical Journal, 1975 A model of the universe which resolves the apparent contradiction between the historical and the thermodynamic arrows of time is presented. Both arrows are reconciled with the almost time-symmetric character of physical laws at the microscopic level. The theory implies that the universe is unfolding in time but not unraveling. (BJG)
