Characteristics of Super Atmospheric Rivers Associated With Explosive Extratropical Cyclones Over the Northern Pacific Ocean

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters
Atmospheric Rivers (ARs) are elongated, narrow corridors of concentrated moisture in the atmosphere, transporting significant amounts of water vapor outside the tropics and causing heavy precipitation.

Physiological and transcriptome analyses for revealing the rooting mechanism of Mussaenda anomala, a species with an extremely small population

open access: yesScientia Horticulturae
This study investigates the mechanism of adventitious roots (ARs) formation in Mussaenda anomala cuttings. We integrated anatomical structure observation, physiological index measurement, and transcriptome analysis at four stages: initial cutting (D1 ...

Understanding the Stochastic Nature of Process Parameter Development of Blown Powder Laser Beam Directed Energy Deposition Additive Manufacturing of Pure Molybdenum

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Identified through the use of statistical design of experiments and metallographic investigation, this study exposes the stochastic origins of intergranular cracks in blown powder laser beam directed energy deposition additive manufacturing of pure molybdenum. It further demonstrates a successful crack mitigation approach with direct correlation to the

First report on the occurrence of anticoagulant rodenticides toxicosis in nontarget animals in Thailand

open access: yesBMC Veterinary Research
Background Anticoagulant rodenticides (ARs) are widely used worldwide to control rodent populations, yet their toxicity to nontarget animal species, such as dogs and cats, raises significant concerns.

Microstructure‐Controlled Crack Propagation and Fracture Resistance in MoSiBTiC Alloy Revealed by Multiscale Extended Finite Element Method Modeling

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A two‐dimensional multiscale finite element analysis framework was established for the first‐generation MoSiBTiC alloy, and the mechanical and fracture‐related parameters of the constituent phases were calibrated through experiments and simulations. The framework provides a basis for analyzing crack propagation behavior in its complex microstructure ...

Microstructure Evolution of a VMnFeCoNi High‐Entropy Alloy After Synthesis, Swaging, and Annealing

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The synthesis and processing (rotary swaging and annealing) of the novel VMnFeCoNi alloy is investigated, alongside the estimation of the grain size effect on hardness. Analysis of a wide grain size range of recrystallized microstructures (12–210 µm) reveals a low annealing twin density.

« Ars vitae, Ars tacendi »

open access: yesRevue germanique internationale, 1999
