Extending Field Limits in Nanoscale Magnetic Imaging With Metamaterial‐Inspired Magnetic Flux Concentrators

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Micrometer‐sized flower‐shaped metamaterial magnetic flux concentrators are fabricated directly around nano and micromagnetic samples, enabling local field enhancement. Integrated into magnetic sensitive photoemission electron microscopy, they extend the available magnetic field range by up to a factor of five.

Posthumanism and Cybernetic Art: An Esthetic Exploration of Technology and Human Identity

open access: yesSociology Lens, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Posthumanism is a contemporary intellectual movement that redefines the relationship between humans, technology, biology, and culture. While questioning the traditional humanist perspective that places humans at the center of the universe, it also examines the transformative effects of technology on human identity.

Tailoring the Anomalous Nernst Effect of Co/Pt Multilayers Grown on Strained Flexible Substrates

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, Volume 12, Issue 11, 8 June 2026.
Strain engineering offers a powerful approach to enhance the Anomalous Nernst Effect in flexible Co/Pt multilayers. This study demonstrates a 30% thermoelectric improvement under mechanical strain, directly attributed to the modulation of intrinsic interfacial interactions.

The Lack of a COPII Cargo Receptor Erv14 Impacts Physiological Functions of the Vacuole in Saccharomyces cerevisiae

open access: yesTraffic, Volume 27, Issue 2, June 2026.
Loss of the cargo receptor Erv14 in Saccharomyces cerevisiae results in sensitivity to calcium, zinc, neutral extracellular pH, and elevated temperature. Furthermore, cells deleted in the ERV14 exhibits vacuolar fragmentation, enlarged lipid droplets, and metabolic alterations. Ruiz Salas, J. L. (2026) https://BioRender.com/b65g523. Versatile Magneto‐Dielectric Response of Epitaxial Thin Films of the High Entropy Oxide Perovskite Nd(Cr0.2Mn0.2Fe0.2Co0.2Ni0.2)O3

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 38, Issue 26, 8 May 2026.
The magnetic high entropy oxide perovskite Nd(Cr0.2Mn0.2Fe0.2Co0.2Ni0.2)O3 exhibits a substantially large dielectric constant (εr) at room temperature, which shows distinct anionic and cationic contributions in the form of zero and finite bias peaks, respectively, down to its magnetic transition temperature (Tmag).

Radical‐Mediated, Substrate‐Independent Fabrication of Hybrid Solid–Hydrogel Materials With Tunable Crosslinking: An Initiator‐ and Crosslinker‐Free Approach

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 27, 13 May 2026.
This work introduces a substrate‐independent, reagent‐free plasma strategy that forms radical‐rich interlayers for covalent hydrogel attachment without initiators or crosslinkers. The long‐lived radicals drive in situ gelation, creating robust, cytocompatible hybrid solid–hydrogel constructs across diverse substrates.
