Haemodynamic effect of a leg compression bandage on the distal posterior tibial artery using 4D flow magnetic resonance imaging: A quantitative study

open access: yesInternational Wound Journal, Volume 21, Issue 7, July 2024.
Abstract The uncertainty concerning the physiological effects of compression bandaging on the peripheral blood flow is a challenge for healthcare professionals. The main objective was to determine the haemodynamic impact on the distal posterior tibial artery after the application of a high‐compression leg multicomponent bandaging system using 4D flow ...

Celastrol Ameliorates Neuronal Mitochondrial Dysfunction Induced by Intracerebral Hemorrhage via Targeting cAMP‐Activated Exchange Protein‐1

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 11, Issue 19, May 22, 2024.
A mitochondrial protective compound, celastrol, is reported to exert neuroprotective effects following intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH). The results demonstrate that celastrol ameliorates neuronal mitochondrial dysfunction by interacting with EPAC‐1, potentially improving ICH‐induced secondary brain injury (SBI).

Prenatal prediction of adverse outcome using different charts and definitions of fetal growth restriction

open access: yesUltrasound in Obstetrics &Gynecology, Volume 63, Issue 5, Page 605-612, May 2024.
ABSTRACT Objective Antenatal growth assessment using ultrasound aims to identify small fetuses that are at higher risk of perinatal morbidity and mortality. This study explored whether the association between suboptimal fetal growth and adverse perinatal outcome varies with different definitions of fetal growth restriction (FGR) and different weight ...
