Printmaking as a Propaedeutic Space in Contemporary Art Education

Abstract This article examines the relevance and formative value of printmaking within contemporary higher art education. Through a historical and conceptual review, it analyses the shift of printmaking from industrial and reproductive functions toward a space of artistic exploration, material enquiry and pedagogical reflection.

ABSTRACT Objective The Biologically Oriented Preparation Technique (BOPT) uses vertical tooth preparation without a defined finish line, guided by provisional restorations to shape the gingival emergence profile. Subgingival crown margins inherent to BOPT increase the risk of residual cement and soft‐tissue trauma during adhesive cementation.
