Distribution of bound norepinephrine in the arterial wall

European Journal of Pharmacology, 1969
Abstract The distribution of bound tritiated norepinephrine in the wall of the rabbit aorta has been determined by estimating the radioactivity in 24μ frozen sections cut parallel to the intima. Peak radioactivity occurred in the region of the adventitio-medial junction; there was also significant binding in the adventitia and media.

Distribution of Bronchial Arteries in the Human Lung

Chest, 1972
Corrosion models of two aged human lungs were prepared by injecting the bronchial arteries, the pulmonary artery and vein as well as the tracheobronchial tree with colored latex, using a different color for each system. The bronchial arteries, in particular, were studied by microdissection. Two types of anastomoses which occur between the bronchial and

Penile arteries in humans origin - distribution - variations

Surgical and Radiologic Anatomy, 1997
The arterial supply to the penis remains unclear. The frequency of occurrence and functional significance of accessory pudendal arteries remains controversial and it has been suggested that the presence of variations is correlated with atheromatous disease involving internal pudendal arteries.

Peripheral Thrombolysis of Arterial Distribution

2013
Since the introduction of selective catheter-directed thrombolytic therapy for vascular occlusions in the 1970s, the clinical applications of this form of therapy have grown to include a host of different vascular structures. This chapter will review the salient features of catheter-directed thrombolytic therapy of the native and the bypass components ...

Distribution of arteries within the vertebrae

1977
Within the interstices of the cancellous bone of the vertebral bodies lie dense and complicated arterial networks (Fig. 5.1). To study these vessels in detail the vertebral bodies should be divided into thin slices (0.5 to 0.75 cm) in three planes. It will be found that entrant vessels are arranged in constant basic patterns within the vertebral bodies,

The terminal distribution of the hepatic artery

Acta Medicinae Okayama, 1960
The following conclusions were arrived at on the terminal distribution of the hepatic artery and its microscopical structures in the experiments conducted with the livers from human adult, fetus, dogs and toads, to which were given plastics, Indian ink and Indian-ink shock injections into their hepatic blood vessels. 1.

Distributed model of the arterial tree

2008
Distributed mathematical model of the arterial tree is defined and applied to a subject with measured input aortic pressure and flow. The model is solved in frequency domain. An excellent agreement of the calculated and measured arterial input impedances is obtained. Calculated pressure time variations at different location along the arterial tree show
