ABSTRACT Purpose Ultrashort echo time (UTE) techniques are essential for the magnetic resonance imaging of short‐T2 signals. Current UTE techniques are time‐consuming and often require the acquisition of an inflexible volume. In this work, we implement new UTE sequences—differential single‐block presaturated UTE (δSB‐UTE) and differential multi‐block ...

Hyperpolarized MRI Detects Increased [1‐13C]Pyruvate Metabolism in Early Liver Regeneration
Hyperpolarized [1‐13C]pyruvate MRI detected increased pyruvate‐to‐lactate and pyruvate‐to‐alanine exchange during early liver regeneration following 70% partial hepatectomy in rats. These findings support the use of hyperpolarized MRI for noninvasive assessment of regenerative metabolism.

Characterizing Metabolic and Compositional Heterogeneity of Calf Muscle Using CEST MRI at 3 T
This study used 3 T CEST MRI to characterize metabolic and compositional heterogeneity in eight healthy calf muscles, focusing on amide, PCr, rNOE, and MT contrasts. Distinct signatures emerged between deep stabilizer and superficial powerhouse muscles. Significant correlations with age, fat content, BMI, and strength (e.g., rNOE vs. strength) revealed

Ultrashort and zero echo time (UTE and ZTE) MRI techniques generate functional contrast through inflow effects, making them suitable for studying cerebral blood flow and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) dynamics. In a 7‐T study of 13 participants performing a visual task, we demonstrate that UTE produced robust, reproducible activations with group‐level ...

Multiparametric 3T MRI combining structural imaging and pCASL quantified placental structure and perfusion in late gestation. Mean placental‐blood‐flow (PBF) and arterial‐transit‐time (ATT) values were higher than previously reported at earlier gestational‐ages (GA).
