Arteriosclerosis Obliterans in a Rabbit Model

Investigative Radiology, 1992
The authors induced atherosclerotic occlusions in a rabbit model, using and comparing different experimental methods.Lesions were induced in 40 femoral arteries in 20 rabbits. Four combinations of lesion induction methods were used: 1) drying of the endothelium with carbon dioxide gas; 2) gas-drying of the artery plus mechanical injury; 3) gas-drying ...

ARTERIOSCLEROSIS OBLITERANS OF THE ABDOMINAL AORTA

Archives of Surgery, 1946

In a review of the literature, Greenfield,1in 1943, stated that 161 cases of thrombosis and embolism had been reported. Platelet Scintigraphy in the Diagnosis of Arteriosclerosis Obliterans

Surgery Today, 2002
We evaluated the efficacy of platelet scintigraphy using autologous platelets labeled with 111In-oxine, to assess the degree of arteriosclerotic activity in arteriosclerosis obliterans (ASO).Thirty-three patients with clinical signs of ASO, seen between January 1996 and August 1999, were enrolled in this study.

ARTERIOSCLEROSIS OBLITERANS AS A CAUSE OF ULCERS OF THE LEG

A Simple, Objective Test for Arteriosclerosis Obliterans

New England Journal of Medicine, 1965
A TEST to demonstrate the deficit in muscle blood flow during exercise in patients with intermittent claudication is necessary for objective diagnosis and evaluation of treatment. In arteriosclerosis obliterans the symptoms and deficit in blood flow are usually present only during exercise.

THE TREATMENT OF ARTERIOSCLEROSIS OBLITERANS

Journal of the American Medical Association, 1940
The problems presented by the development of arteriosclerosis are of overwhelming magnitude both medically and socially.
