THROMBECTOMY IN PATIENTS WITH THROMBOSIS OF ARTERIO-VENOUS FISTULA: CASE SERIES

open access: yesСучасні медичні технології, 2023
Introduction. Thanks to the use of renal replacement therapy at the current stage of medical development, complete medical and social rehabilitation of patients with end-stage chronic renal failure is possible.

Pediatric intracranial dural arteriovenous fistulas: age-related differences in clinical features, angioarchitecture, and treatment outcomes. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
OBJECTIVE Intracranial dural arteriovenous fistulas (DAVFs) are rare in children. This study sought to better characterize DAVF presentation, angioarchitecture, and treatment outcomes.

Renal Arteriovenous Fistula

open access: yesJournal of the Belgian Society of Radiology, 2020
Teaching Point: Color Doppler ultrasound (US) is useful for screening for renal arteriovenous (AV) shunts, especially following renal biopsy, because of its convenience and minimally invasive nature.

Arteriovenous Fistula Construction with the VasQ™ External Support Device: A Pilot Study

open access: yesJournal of Vascular Access, 2016
Background and objective Arteriovenous fistulas (AVF) are currently the gold standard for access, exhibiting the best combination of a low complication profile with a long patency period and attractive pricing.

Jointly Learned 3D Non‐Cartesian Sampling With Wave Encoding and Reconstruction for Neurovascular Phase Contrast MRI

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose To develop accelerated 3D phase contrast (PC) MRI using jointly learned wave encoding and reconstruction. Methods Pseudo‐fully sampled neurovascular 4D flow data (N = 40) and a simulation framework were used to learn phase encoding locations, wave readout parameters, and model‐based reconstruction network (MoDL) for a rapid 3D PC scan (

Lesões artério-venosas durais primárias intra-cranianas.

open access: yesActa Médica Portuguesa, 2003
Vascular lesions with arteriovenous shunts are a heterogeneous group of diseases composed of three distinct pathological entities: adult type dural arteriovenous fistula, dural sinus malformations with arteriovenous shunts and juvenile type of dural ...

UK Renal Registry 18th Annual Report: Chapter 11 2014 Multisite Dialysis Access Audit in England, Northern Ireland and Wales and 2013 PD One Year Follow-up: National and Centre-specific Analyses [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Data are presented from the third combined vascular and peritoneal dialysis access audit. In 2014, 53 centres in England, Wales and Northern Ireland (out of 62) returned data on first access from 4,339 incident haemodialysis (HD) patients and 1,090 ...

Efficiency comparison between new single‐needle dialysis and conventional double‐needle dialysis and exploration of the optimal prescription parameters for single‐needle hemodialysis

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, Volume 29, Issue 3, Page 419-427, June 2025.
Abstract Objective To compare the dialysis efficiency parameters between new single‐needle dialysis and conventional double‐needle dialysis and to explore the optimal prescription parameters for single‐needle hemodialysis. Methods This study involved a prospective, cross‐over design. Eight patients were randomly divided into two cohorts, which received

Machine Learning‐Based Prediction of Life‐Threatening Complications During Hemodialysis in Hospitalized Patients With Poor General Conditions

open access: yesArtificial Organs, EarlyView.
A machine learning model using predialysis data predicted sudden events during or after hemodialysis with high accuracy (auROC: 0.889). The key predictors included emergency hospitalization, recent surgery, high heart rate, low albumin levels, and high CRP.

Percutaneous Versus Surgical Cannulation for Femoro‐Femoral Venoarterial Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation: A Retrospective Cohort Study on Cannulation‐Related Complications

open access: yesArtificial Organs, EarlyView.
Percutaneous femoro‐femoral V‐A ECMO cannulation was associated with more than a two‐fold lower risk of site bleeding and nearly a six‐fold lower risk of infection compared with surgical cut‐down, with no difference in limb ischemia. Absence of distal perfusion catheterization and larger arterial cannula size were additional modifiable ischemia risk ...
