Real‐world‐data for phenotypes and genotypes of rare monogenic genetic epilepsies and genes of uncertain significance for epilepsy

open access: yesEpilepsia Open, EarlyView.
Abstract Objectives The objectives of this study were to develop a real‐world‐data (RWD) database for patients with epilepsy to provide further real‐world‐evidence (RWE) for monogenic genetic epilepsies; to assess the usefulness of a diagnostic algorithm in epilepsy; and to examine protein 3D structures using in silico tools to predict variant ...

Arteriovenous Malformation

open access: yesVascular Anomalies, 2014
214 Purpose: We demonstrate the successful single session endovascular embolization for the parenchymal AVM of the temporal lobe through a small feeder of MMA by using liquid embolic materials and detachable delivery catheter.

Safety Profile of Sclerosing Agents in the Management of Low‐Flow Vascular Malformations of the Head and Neck—A Systematic Review

open access: yesHead &Neck, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Low‐flow vascular malformations (LFVMs) of the head and neck, including venous and lymphatic malformations, represent a heterogeneous group of congenital anomalies frequently requiring intervention due to functional and esthetic impairment.

Arteriovenous malformation of the spermatic cord as the cause of acute scrotal pain: a case report

open access: yesJournal of Medical Case Reports, 2007
Arteriovenous malformations of the lower urinary tract are uncommon lesions, usually presenting as scrotal masses. A case of recurrent acute scrotal pain mimicking testicular torsion that was attributed to the presence of an arteriovenous malformation of

Endothelial Signaling and the Molecular Basis of Arteriovenous Malformation

open access: yesCellular and Molecular Life Sciences, 2013
Arteriovenous malformations occur when abnormalities of vascular patterning result in the flow of blood from arteries to veins without an intervening capillary bed.

Risk of hemorrhagic stroke in warfarin‐treated patients following heart valve replacement: Findings from the MAGPIE study

open access: yesIbrain, EarlyView.
Among 568 mechanical heart valve replacement patients in Bangladesh, hemorrhagic stroke occurred in 4.4% with 52% mortality. Severe pulmonary hypertension increased risk 4.4‐fold, and warfarin therapy ≥104 months nearly doubled the risk, highlighting the need for long‐term risk monitoring in anticoagulated valve patients.

Arteriovenous Malformation in Mandible [PDF]

open access: yesMedical Journal Armed Forces India, 2005
Arteriovenous malformations (AVM) are errors of vascular morphogenesis that are present at birth and become evident due to an event like trauma, surgery, infection, etc. The management of this condition in the maxillofacial region is difficult because of the abundant vascular network.

Hydrogel‐based drug delivery systems for intracerebral hemorrhage with therapeutic advances and emerging roles of the bone–brain axis

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Medicine, EarlyView.
Hydrogel‐based drug delivery systems offer a promising approach for treating intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) by overcoming blood‐brain barrier limitations, enabling precise, sustained release of neuroprotective and anti‐inflammatory agents. These systems enhance treatment efficacy, but challenges remain in biosafety, drug penetration, and scalability ...
