Arteriovenous shunts in the human spleen

American Journal of Hematology, 1976

Cerebral Arteriovenous Shunts in Children

Neuroimaging Clinics of North America, 2013
Intracranial arteriovenous shunts (AVSs) in children can be divided into pial arteriovenous malformations, vein of Galen malformations, and arteriovenous fistulae (AVF). Dural AVF and dural sinus malformations are rare entities within this group. The relative immaturity of the anatomy and physiology of the neonatal and infant brain results in the ...

Renal Angiomyolipoma with Arteriovenous Shunting

Journal of Urology, 1987
We describe a patient with arteriovenous shunting during renal arteriography who at operation was found to have an angiomyolipoma rather than renal cell carcinoma or an arteriovenous malformation. Renal angiomyolipoma should be added to the list of causes of gross hematuria with angiographically demonstrable arteriovenous shunting.

Immobility, Hypoxemia, and Pulmonary Arteriovenous Shunting

Archives of Surgery, 1974
Physiologic and pathologic effects of a systematic regimen of movement were compared with immobility in anesthetized, over-hydrated dogs. Immobile animals suffered early loss of oxygenating capability of the dependent lung that developed extensive atelectasis, hemorrhage, and pulmonary edema.

Spinal Arteriovenous Shunts

1997
Pursuing our previous review of spinal arteriovenous shunts (AVS) of all types (Berenstein 1992; Rodesch 1992; Rodesch 1993), we separate these according to the anatomic spaces in which they are found (subpial, durai, extradural). This distinction according to anatomic spaces correlates to the various pathological entities encountered: subpial and ...
