COMPLICATIONS OF ARTHROSCOPIC MENISCAL REPAIR
Clinics in Sports Medicine, 1996Despite the numerous complications discussed, virtually all of these reported complications have either resolved spontaneously or had satisfactory outcomes after appropriate treatment. In the author's personal experience, saphenous neuropathy is by far the most common complication, and most patients describe it as being only a minor nuisance.

The arthroscopic meniscal repair
The American Journal of Sports Medicine, 1988Conservative meniscal repair should limit resection to only pathologic portions of the meniscus. The periphery of the meniscus is well vascularized, enabling healing of longitudinal tears. Sutures that perforate the menis cus vertically usually lead to stable healing.

Instruments have been devised for repair of the semilunar cartilage without any incision by operative arthroscopy. The instruments include a meniscus repair needle and specially designed small-diameter cannulae of various degrees of curvature. A bolster system for external suture fixation is also employed.

The patient was identified as the correct person in the preoperative holding area, the operative extremity was marked, and the patient was brought into the operative suite and placed supine on the operating table. He was induced into general endotracheal anesthesia without difficulty and the patient was then repositioned for his surgical procedure. The

Arthroscopic Rotator Cuff Repair
Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research, 2001The arthroscopic operation for repair of full-thickness rotator cuff tears is successful and has the advantages of glenohumeral joint inspection, treatment of intraarticular lesions, smaller incisions, no deltoid detachment, less soft tissue dissection, less pain, and more rapid rehabilitation.

Arthroscopic Subscapularis Repair
Operative Techniques in Orthopaedics, 2015For years, subscapularis tendon tears have been considered a relatively rare diagnosis with an incidence of 3.5%-8% among all rotator cuff tears. In recent years, however, the incidence of subscapularis tears has increased to 37%. This significant change has been mostly associated with a better understanding of anatomy and physical examination ...
