Optimum design of structures by Artificial Bee Colony Algorithm

Embracing complexity in transfusion research
Abstract Complexity science investigates how complex systems behave and how we interact with them. Its implementation in clinical transfusion research is limited, even though human cells, organ systems, bodies, hospitals and blood supply systems are all examples of complex systems.

A discrete artificial bee colony algorithm for RFID network scheduling
The operation of RFID systems often involves a situation in which multiple readers physically located near one another may interfere with one another's operation. Such reader collision must be minimized to avoid the faulty or miss reads.

Extent, characteristics and policy applications of Key Biodiversity Areas
ABSTRACT A global standard for the identification of Key Biodiversity Areas (KBAs) was published 10 years ago to provide a unified set of criteria for identifying ‘sites of significance for the global persistence of biodiversity’. We review the initiative's origins, the KBA identification process, characteristics of the current network, threats, policy

Ecology and evolution of pyrazines in insects
ABSTRACT Chemical communication is the oldest and most widespread form of signalling among and within organisms. Among the many compounds involved in such communication, pyrazines – nitrogen‐containing heterocyclic molecules – are especially intriguing due to their widespread occurrence across the tree of life, from bacteria and fungi to insects and ...

Abstract While large carnivore expansion is a conservation success, it increasingly challenges pastoralism. Beyond economic value, pastoralism provides critical biodiversity and sociocultural benefits, recognized by the UN and the EU's ‘High Nature Value farming’ designation.

Clustering Approach Based On Von Neumann Topology Artificial Bee Colony Algorithm
Article Bee Colony (ABC) is one of the most recently introduced algorithms based on the intelligent foraging behavior of a honey bee swarm. This paper proposes a new variant of the ABC algorithm based on Von Neumann topology structure, namely Von Neumann
