Reconstructing Quantum Dot Surfaces via Dual‐Functional Ligand Pairing Enables Efficient Shortwave Infrared Optoelectronics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents a ligand‐pairing strategy that reconstructs lead sulfide quantum dot surfaces for efficient short‐wave infrared optoelectronics. A low‐reactivity thiourea precursor combined with hydrobromic acid enables monodisperse and fully passivated quantum dots.

Novel Artificial Magnetic Conductor for 5G Application

open access: yesIndonesian Journal of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, 2017
A design of novel bendable Artificial Magnetic Conductor (AMC) structures has been presented in this paper in two selected of frequencies at 5G application. These designs started with a square patch shape and continued with the combination of circular and Jerusalem shape which resonate at a frequency of 18 GHz and 28 GHz.

Functionalizing Micro‐to‐Mesoscopic Electrode Architectures for Regulating Electron Transfer Behaviors in Electrocatalysis

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A systematic review is conducted to assess the influence of electrode architecture across micro‐ to mesoscopic length scales on electron‐transfer pathways in electrocatalysis. We discuss the structure‐activity relationships in electrocatalytic applications, including resource recovery and environmental remediation, and provide cost‐effective, efficient

Wide-Band and Low-Profile LTCC Conformal Antenna Array With Mixed Feeding Network

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
As we know, the thickness mainly affects the yield of low-temperature co-fired ceramics (LTCC) device. There is a high risk of cracking for the thick structure in manufacture process especially for the curved one.

Interaction‐Driven Assembly Pathways in Heterogeneous Active Microrobotic Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Peanut‐ and cube‐shaped light‐powered microrobots exhibit distinct magnetic and photocatalytic responses that determine their heterogeneous self‐assembly. In the dark, magnetic dipole interactions drive colloidal copolymerization with cubes acting as nucleation centers, whereas under light irradiation, phoretic interactions compete with magnetic ...

A Compact, Low-Profile Log-Periodic Meandered Dipole Array Antenna with an Artificial Magnetic Conductor

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2018
A compact and low-profile log-periodic meandered dipole array (LPMDA) antenna with an artificial magnetic conductor (AMC) is proposed. For compactness, a meander line configuration is implemented with dipole elements and optimized using a genetic ...

Sulfation‐Tunable Peptide‐Glycosaminoglycan Hydrogels for Hematopoietic Stem and Progenitor Cell Expansion

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Co‐assembly of rationally designed glycosaminoglycan‐binding peptides with sulfated glycosaminoglycans yields supramolecular hydrogels with tunable mechanics and matrix‐mediated cytokine retention. The glycosaminoglycans thereby act as cofactors, driving a coil‐to‐β‐sheet transition that triggers gelation.

Multiband-integrated antenna/artificial magnetic conductor

open access: yesIET Microwaves, Antennas & Propagation, 2011
An artificial magnetic conductor (AMC)-based multiband low-profile antenna for vehicle applications is designed, simulated and measured in this study. The AMC is a simple dual band structure, constructed on a 3.2 mm-thick FR-4 (e r =4.4) board, with the reflection phase and surface wave bandgaps in the 2.0 and 5.8 GHz ranges.

Flash Assembloids: A Rapid Biofabrication of a Platform for Modeling Early Glioblastoma Invasion at the Glioblastoma–Brain Organoid Interfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a bioengineered assembloid (ASM) system combining glioblastoma (GBM) cells in oxidized alginate (OA) microgels with dorsal organoids (DOs). This model simulates brain tumor‐host interactions, revealing enhanced GBM invasion, altered gene expression, and aggressive infiltration patterns, demonstrating ASM as a valuable platform for ...

Gain Enhancement of Monopole Antenna using AMC Surface

open access: yesAdvanced Electromagnetics, 2018
A CPW rectangular-ring antenna over an Artificial Magnetic Conductor (AMC) is presented in this work. The AMC is a designed as a dual-band structure having an array of unit cells and operates at 2.45GHz and 5.20 GHz. A CPW antenna uses this dual-band AMC
