UWB Antenna with Artificial Magnetic Conductor (AMC) for 5G Applications

Lecture Notes in Networks and Systems, 2020
This paper presents the design of an ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna for Internet of Things (IoT) applications that operate within 5G operating frequencies. One of the IoT-based devices’ architecture is wireless body area networks (WBANs). WBAN allows computer device to communicate with human body signal by trading digital information like electrical ...

Antenna performance enhancement with Artificial Magnetic Conductor (AMC)

2015 IEEE Conference on Antenna Measurements & Applications (CAMA), 2015
Artificial Magnetic Conductor (AMC) is a metamaterial which is widely used nowadays in antenna designs. AMC mimics the behavior of Perfect Magnetic Conductor (PMC) which is not available in nature. With the incorporation of AMC to antenna designs, various performance of the antenna can be improved.

Low‐profile platform‐tolerant RFID tag with artificial magnetic conductor (AMC)

Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2008
AbstractA novel low‐profile (≈0.01λ) platform‐tolerant passive RFID tag incorporated with artificial magnetic conductor (AMC) is proposed in this letter. It consists of a modified dipole antenna combined with an AMC ground plane and a tag chip attached on the feeding point of the antenna.

Reconfigurable antenna using capacitive loading to Artificial Magnetic Conductor (AMC)

Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2016
ABSTRACTA dual band Artificial Magnetic Conductor (AMC) with capacitive tuning of reflection phase at lower band frequency is proposed. The AMC operates at upper band of fixed frequency at 5.8 GHz while the lower band reconfigurable frequency is from 2.5 GHz up to 3.1 GHz. The simulated reconfigurable frequencies are 2.5, 2.62, and 3.10 GHz.

Analysis of triple band artificial magnetic conductor (AMC) band conditions to wideband antenna performance

2014 IEEE Asia-Pacific Conference on Applied Electromagnetics (APACE), 2014
This paper presents the design of wideband antenna integrated with triple band artificial magnetic conductor (AMC) ground plane. The wideband antenna that acts as Reference Antenna (RA) operates from 2.69 GHz up to 6.27 GHz while the triple band AMC operates at 2.3 GHz, 5.8 GHz and 8.3 GHz.
