Analysis of triple band artificial magnetic conductor (AMC) band conditions to wideband antenna performance

open access: yes2014 IEEE Asia-Pacific Conference on Applied Electromagnetics (APACE), 2014
This paper presents the design of wideband antenna integrated with triple band artificial magnetic conductor (AMC) ground plane. The wideband antenna that acts as Reference Antenna (RA) operates from 2.69 GHz up to 6.27 GHz while the triple band AMC operates at 2.3 GHz, 5.8 GHz and 8.3 GHz.

Antenna performance enhancement with Artificial Magnetic Conductor (AMC)

2015 IEEE Conference on Antenna Measurements & Applications (CAMA), 2015
Artificial Magnetic Conductor (AMC) is a metamaterial which is widely used nowadays in antenna designs. AMC mimics the behavior of Perfect Magnetic Conductor (PMC) which is not available in nature. With the incorporation of AMC to antenna designs, various performance of the antenna can be improved.

UWB Antenna with Artificial Magnetic Conductor (AMC) for 5G Applications

Lecture Notes in Networks and Systems, 2020
This paper presents the design of an ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna for Internet of Things (IoT) applications that operate within 5G operating frequencies. One of the IoT-based devices’ architecture is wireless body area networks (WBANs). WBAN allows computer device to communicate with human body signal by trading digital information like electrical ...

Low‐profile platform‐tolerant RFID tag with artificial magnetic conductor (AMC)

Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2008
AbstractA novel low‐profile (≈0.01λ) platform‐tolerant passive RFID tag incorporated with artificial magnetic conductor (AMC) is proposed in this letter. It consists of a modified dipole antenna combined with an AMC ground plane and a tag chip attached on the feeding point of the antenna.

A wideband rectangular-ring textile antenna integrated with corner-notched artificial magnetic conductor (AMC) plane [PDF]

open access: yesApplied Physics A, 2016
This paper presents the design of a wideband artificial magnetic conductor (AMC) for operation in the Wireless Body Area Network Ultra Wideband (WBAN-UWB) mandatory channel 6. The proposed AMC is incorporated onto a rectangular-ring patch antenna for operation centered at 8 GHz with 2 GHz of bandwidth.

Design A Compact Artificial Magnetic Conductor (AMC) For SAR Reduction in WBAN Applications

2021 1st International Conference on Emerging Smart Technologies and Applications (eSmarTA), 2021
This article tests Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) reduction in WBAN square patch antennas using various types of AMC structures. The AMC structure is designed. The AMC structure can reduce surface waves and prevent unwanted radiation from the ground surface.

SAR mitigation of textile antenna via an artificial magnetic conductor (AMC) plane

2015 1st URSI Atlantic Radio Science Conference (URSI AT-RASC), 2015
An artificial magnetic conductor (AMC) plane is a type of two-dimensional metamaterial, which are widely used in the design of planar antennas. Its current corresponds to an in-phase image and its ability in suppressing parallel plate modes is also favorable in forming a reflecting structure near a magnetic dipole.
