Miniaturization of artificial magnetic conductors
2010 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium, 2010In this paper, we introduce a novel multilayer artificial magnetic conductor providing a λ/60 unit cell periodicity while maintaining a 10% bandwidth. Full-wave simulations are mainly driven to give a proof of concept of this miniaturization method. Experimental validation of simple cases leads to a very good agreement with both numerical results and ...

AbstractThe general properties of a frequency selective surface loaded with negative impedance converter (NIC)‐based active loads are discussed from a theoretical perspective. The stability problem associated with NIC circuits embedded in artificial magnetic conductor (AMC) and AMC absorber applications is studied using pole‐zero analysis.

Miniaturization of an artificial magnetic conductor with interdigital capacitances
2015 Loughborough Antennas & Propagation Conference (LAPC), 2015This paper deals with a method to miniaturize an artificial magnetic conductor using interdigital capacitances. An artificial magnetic conductor with a resonance frequency of 2.66 GHz is designed and manufactured. The size of a unit cell is 15 x 15 mm(2) or 0.13 x 0.13 lambda(0).
