Simulation of land use changes using cellular automata and artificial neural network [PDF]
This paper presents a method integrating artificial neural network (ANN) in cellular automata (CA) to simulate land use changes in Luxembourg and the areas adjacent to its borders. The ANN is used as a base of CA model transition rule.

Magnetomechanical neuromodulation using magnetic nanodiscs enables remote activation of neurons. In a hemiparkinsonian mouse model, alternating magnetic fields actuate the nanodiscs to generate torque that opens mechanosensitive ion channels within the subthalamic nucleus, thereby modulating basal ganglia motor circuitry.

Synaptic κ‐Ga2O3 Photodetectors for Privacy‐Enhancing Neuromorphic Computing
We report on a single‐element neuromorphic sensor based on the persistent photoconductivity (PPC) of κ‐phase Ga2O3 capable of sensing ultraviolet light and harnessing intrinsic data privacy. The approach establishes a materials‐enabled pathway toward compact, intelligent, and privacy‐enhancing optoelectronic hardware for next‐generation edge systems ...

WS2‐based in‐memory sensing reservoir computing integrates sensing, memory, and computation in one compact device. It achieves ∼94% N‐MNIST, ∼93% eye motion perception, and ∼89% speech recognition with ultra‐low energy (∼25.5 fJ/spike). The system shows stability at 95% humidity, endurance over 1.5M cycles, and supports synaptic plasticity, enabling ...

Forecasting The Exchange Rate Series With Ann: The Case Of Turkey [PDF]
As it is possible to model both linear and nonlinear structures in time series by using Artificial Neural Network (ANN), it is suitable to apply this method to the chaotic series having nonlinear component.

Inspired by Nostoc, a crack‐based one‐dimensional microspheres array (COMA) sensor is developed, which stabilizes crack geometry under isotropic expansion, enabling a predictable, monotonic thermal response from which true strain can be accurately extracted. The COMA sensor exhibits high sensitivity at ultralow deformation (gauge factor up to 89) and a

Triple‐Mode Ferroelectric Thin‐Film Transistor for Hybrid Electrical–Optical Reservoir Computing
A triple‐mode ferroelectric thin‐film transistor is developed by integrating Si3N4/HZO/IGZO layers to realize three independent memory modes: electric long‐term, electric short‐term, and optical short‐term. This single‐device architecture functions as both a reservoir and readout layer, achieving 92.43% MNIST accuracy. It offers a fully hardware‐based,

Application of Artificial Neural Network (ANN): Development of Central-based ANN (CebaANN)
Nowaday, the number of known protein structures is significantly less than the number of known amino acid sequences. It is because the regularity of amino acid depend on structure is not clear and the number of thermodynamic conditions are too many ...
