Reducing noise in photoamplifier circuits with low noise artificial resistors

Journal of Applied Physics, 1982
A standard passive dissipative resistor in a photodiode circuit is replaced by a low-noise active artificial resistor. A room-temperature artificial resistor acts on a signal current from the photodiode in the same manner as the resistor, but the self-generated noise of the artificial resistor is that of a resistor at cryogenic temperatures. Because of

Artificial noise scheme to ensure secure communications in CWSN

2012 8th International Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing Conference (IWCMC), 2012
This paper presents an artificial noise strategy to increase physical-layer security in Cognitive Wireless Sensor Networks (CWSN). Spectrum sensing, information sharing and collaborative cognitive features are used to avoid eavesdropping attacks. Artificial noise generation is proposed to conceal the secret message to be transmitted.

PIV Measurements of Buffet with Artificial Noise

2017
The transonic buffet flow field around supercritical airfoils is dominated by self-sustained shock wave oscillations on the suction side of the wing. Current theories assume that this unsteadiness is driven by a feedback loop of disturbances in the flow field downstream of the shock wave of which the upstream propagating part is formed by acoustic ...

Secure beamforming for cognitive radio networks with artificial noise

2015 International Conference on Wireless Communications & Signal Processing (WCSP), 2015
In this paper, we address the secrecy problem for a cognitive radio network (CRN) by using physical layer security (PHY-security) technology. In order to effectively enhance wireless security, we propose to adopt artificial noise (AN) to impair the quality of the interception signal.

Security in MIMO wireless hybrid channel with artificial noise

2015 International Conference on Cyber Security of Smart Cities, Industrial Control System and Communications (SSIC), 2015
Security is an important issue in the field of wireless channel. In this paper, the security problem of Gaussian MIMO wireless hybrid channel is considered where a transmitter with multiple antennas sends information to an intended receiver with one antenna in the presence of an eavesdropper with multiple antennas.

Analysis on the effects of artificial noise on physical layer security

2013 21st Signal Processing and Communications Applications Conference (SIU), 2013
Physical layer security has gained attention due to the increased usage of wireless communication systems. Our target is to avoid eavesdroppers to receive and decode the transmitted voice signals between the authorized transmitter and the receiver.
