Adenosine‐to‐inosine editing of miR‐200b‐3p is associated with the progression of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A‐to‐I editing of miRNAs, particularly miR‐200b‐3p, contributes to HGSOC progression by enhancing cancer cell proliferation, migration and 3D growth. The edited form is linked to poorer patient survival and the identification of novel molecular targets.

Fulde-Ferrell states in unequally charged Fermi gases

open access: yes, 2020
Atoms with different internal states can exhibit different responses to an artificial magnetic field. An atomic gas mixture of two different components can therefore be interpreted as a mixture of two atomic gases carrying different synthetic charges. We

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

Artificial scotoma estimation based on population receptive field mapping [PDF]

open access: yesNeuroImage, 2018
Population receptive field (pRF) mapping based on functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) is an ideal method for obtaining detailed retinotopic information. One particularly promising application of pRF mapping is the estimation and quantification of visual field effects, for example scotomata in patients suffering from macular dysfunction or ...
